Academic degrees

Students will be awarded an academic degree after completing their studies and passing the exams required for a particular FH degree programme. 

The generally admissible academic degrees, the additions and the abbreviated degrees are determined by the Fachhochschul Council (FH Council); this resolution then needs ot be approved by the competent federal minister (cf. section 5 sub-section 2 FHStG as amended).

The relevant academic degree plus addition has been laid down by the FH Council in the administrative decision on accreditation for each FH degree programme (cf. section 5 sub-section 2 FHStG as amended).
